The Village Corner German Restaurant & Bakery
Since 1974, The Village Corner, German Restaurant &
Bakery has been owned & operated by The Friese family who moved to the United
States from Munich and Hamburg, Germany. Originally began as a wholesale
bakery with a small additional luncheon room, the popularity of Hilde’s
extraordinary cooking and baking afforded the restaurant to grow where it
is today. Carl, son of Claus & Hilde, is the Executive Chef. A graduate
of Johnson & Wales Culinary School, Carl also holds a masters in the art
of fine cuisine.
